We use two different levels of vinyl: 3-5 year and 5-7 year. Your application will dictate which vinyl should or is advised to use. However, you do have several other options for types of vinyl and special applications. Please call or email with your request.
Yes. Our decals are provided with transfer paper for larger scaled decals and clear transfer tape for smaller. We also take the time to cut our decal transfers parallel to the image which makes it easy to line up the decal where you want it and put it into place. All transfer tape is cut approximately 1/2" inch from the outer most edge of the decal. This provides enough area to handle the decal and less scrap to have the decal stretch and manipulate itself while you are trying to lay it out. In case you have a round decal, the transfer tape will be cut parallel to what is considered "top center" of the design.
With our parallel cut tape, it is easy to surface mount your decal. Locate the area where you want the decal. Take two pieces of blue painters tape to create a corner, or, a single piece to create a top or bottom edge (account for the height and width of your decal). Place the corresponding edge of the transfer tape to the edge of the tape and smooth out the rest. Take your time and your decal will look professionally applied.
In some cases, we will mark the outer tape with "center line" markings to assist you placement of your decal. This depend on the type of decal purchased or designed.
Yes. Since we are located southwest of Chicago, we can offer installation of decals throughout the Chicagoland area and its suburbs as well as portions of Wisconsin and Indiana. Your location will depend on a minor travel cost - please call or e-mail for details and information.
Yes; our photos are limited. However, what you will not see on our site are photos of clip-art. We only provide photos of vinyl product which have been cut for customers. Anyone can post a clip-art photo. We stand behind and are proud enough of our work that we will show you our work instead of what clip-art photos are possible for recreating.
And finally, DCDecals keeps their prices low because we stick to one area and that is die-cut vinyl decals / images. We do not provide multi-colored stickers or intertwined coloring options. There are instances where clients want certain verbiage in a saying, most commonly for a rear bumper decal. We have no problem serving the client. However, there will be instances where we will not print certain combinations of words on a decal.
We can do sport decals, animals, logos, signs, magnets, reverse peals, one offs with no limits on quantity all the way to bulk orders while doing a fund raiser. We also provide paint mask reverse peal vinyl for those who want to paint their image on their surface. Call or email for specifics.
Vinyl images can be shipped same day, next day or within a week depending on the item. Custom work can take up to two weeks also depending on the design and current custom artwork workload. When you inquire, we will be able to estimate how long it will take for you to receive your order.
Unless otherwise noted, shipping charges are 12% of the cost of the decal to United States zip codes. Decals are printed daily and shipped U.S. Postal. Once your decal is cut, it will be packaged and ready for shipping.
United States: Expected delivery time is 3 - 11 days for First Class - Parcel Post for the contiguous states. If your order is over a certain weight, we will ship U.S. Priority mail for no extra charge.
Canada & Hawaii: Expected delivery time is 7 - 13 business/mailing days. Certain orders will require Global Priority due to their weight and / or size. We will notify you if your package is oversized and will require $7.50 shipping costs.
Delivery Confirmation numbers will be included on all packages over 12 ounces. If your order is lighter than that, it will shipped standard first class without confirmation unless you specify otherwise (shipping surcharges will apply). For those that request a rush delivery, standard U.S. Postal pricing will apply;
2 - 3 day Priority $4.60 or $8.95 depending on weight/size, or Express Next Day $16.25.
